I have to agree with what John is saying here.

Using high doses, or using CS constantly may affect some of the
intestinal bacteria.  I haven't done studies, but I believe that has
been demonstrated in my own use.

The necessity for using CS constantly is often a compensation for some
unhealthy lifestyle or diet choice.  This can be compared to
palliative use of drugs...  If this is the case, yes, you may have to
take it constantly to maintain a measure of "health" but you should
recognize what is going on.

If you are eating healthily, and maintaining a healthy weight, etc, it
is by far best to use the CS when you need it, not all the time.

(Others may have had a different result...)
