I used to get them. I would squeeze them out, as it is just a hardened pus like in a pimple. Stay away from sour foods, sugar and junk food.
Regarding precancerous, I seriously doubt that. Your tonsils are part of the defence system of the body. They are designed to do that from what I can gather. If it's from bacteria, I think that a regular hit of CS would be a good preventative, but once you have the lump in there, I doubt that CS or any other thing you ingest would dissolve them. Sometimes I have sneezed them out. I have on occasion, taken something more sharp than a q-tip to dislodge these lumps, but I do NOT recommend that. Perhaps a tongue depressor would work, but you really have to watch out for the gag reflex. I hope some of this helps.
