Right from the link posted: Data in the paper (Fig. 1) do not show that people infected with the delta variant shed 1000X more virus over the course of the disease. The 1000X increase in viral load only refers to the first day that the virus is detected by PCR. High levels of shedding earlier following an initial exposure is significant, but these results are being misrepresented in the media.
