I don't know about in England, but laser pointers are available at lots of places in the States for little more than the batteries cost. Check your chemist (what we would call pharmacy in the US), electronic store (ie. Radio Shack which I know you have), or places like Best Buy or Circuit City. Even department stores may have them now.
