Which Hanna meter? The measurement probably be in microSiemens.  That
way we could all be measuring the same thing, as the standard
measurement for conductivity is in uS/Cubic centimeter.

Ivqan could give us a conversion for using plaoin table salt for
calibration rather than the specifiec KCl which is hard to find.

If on wished to make a tester for uS all it requires is two thin brass
plates 1 cm wide by 3 cm long, super glued to a plastic handle that is 1
cm X 1 cm X  10 to 15 cm long, with one cm of exposed plate on in end.
Paint the outsides of the plates with finger nail polish. Attach two
leads on to each plate. The power source is 10 v ac regulated and a AC
current DMM to read the uS directly. If you build your own then you do
not need the calibration salts as the design in the definition of uS.
