Donna, Your post nearly blinded me. Next time in your subject line, put "get your sunglases" <grin>
Actually, it was very hard to read in that color. As to your question, sounds like you "cooked" it too long. By heating the water, you speed up the process. I never heat my distilled water, and it takes about 1.5 hrs. I wipe off the wires (in your case coins) about every 15 to 10 minutes. Also, the coins may have more surface which will also speed up the process. You can let the sediment settle and pour off the rest. When I have this happen, I just pour the sediment into one of my houseplants. Sounds like you have an effective product though. You will eventually get your own process down to get the quality you desire. Bottom Line....It all works!!! I have been reading the list emails---thanks to all! for the good info. I have been making CS only a short time with a system that uses 3 9-volt batteries and two ,999 fine coins. I use a quart of distilled water heated to almost boiling; process 30 minutes cleaning the coins every 10 minutes. The product I get is pale yellow then but by the next day is much darker. Also there is a small amount of blackish sediment at the bottom by the third day. I say a small --like a pencilled line with no visible depth. Is it ok to pour off the clear yellow Cs and discard the sediment? What about the PPM on this--- Love to hear your thoughts. Donna
