To the best of my knowledge, we don't know if silver is a natural part of our biological system. Investigators of trace minerals have found that lead, aluminum and arsenic *are* used by our bodies for certain purposes -- but these elements occur commonly in food and water supplies in Western countries (where the investigations occurred).
