This whole thread is pretty far off-topic I guess, but I want to clarify: 
 What I am referring to is NOT Birkenstock shoes, but the blue inserts, you put 
them in your shoes, slippers, whatever, just like you would do with 
orthotics......they fixed me. And I have had several people tell me they had 
orthotics made that did not help them at all, and the birkenstock inserts did 
work. These people are all from my town, though different doctors, orthotics 
made different places,  but maybe not properly made.....
  However, as long as I wear my inserts in everything, I'm fine. If I go around 
without them very much the fasciitis starts to return.

back to sandals with orthodics as my plantar fasciatis flared up.
