Are you talking about prions, as in BSE?  Are you saying they are in pork?
Just curious.

When some cattle suspected of having mad cow were burned in a regular
furnace before the tests were back, we were assured they were 'taken care
of, just in case'.  It assured me alright, of what I suspected all along.
