Got to disagree with that one.  A group of us successfully treated our
horses for EPM with CS, orally -- some of us treating for three years or
more.  None of these horses demonstrated digestive problems as a result.
All of them recovered from EPM.  If digestive problems are a concern, simply
put the horse on a probiotic.  The story about CS affecting septic arthritis
in the knee joint is amazing.  One that I'll tuck in the corner of my mind
for future reference.     MA
