That came up in slashdot a while back. The problem is if the bacteria get into the wild, they could have a devastating effect on the environment. Gotta watch that GM-stuff. Roundup Ready has already caused severe problems in Canada when it spilled over to adjacent fields owned by farmers who never used it. They were sued and lost.
