Hi, Paula, I already am juicing, but only carrots right now. Was trying cabbage and celery, but too much gas. I will hope to try again. Have an appointment with a gastroenterologist on Tuesday of next week. Have asked for an evaluation of the history of my bowel problems with regard to possible large colon removal which is being recommended by the surgeon and my family physician, also by another surgeon at a different clinic. I have also asked for this doctor's thoughts on possible alternatives to the surgery. Right now, though I am really about ready to have it. It is so hard to sort out what is causing my right sided pain on any one day. Sometimes I think if I didn't have to eat at all I would be just fine, but, of course, that is impossible! Will run the adrenal function idea past this doctor, too. Incidentally, my juicer is a Champion, also, although I did buy a different kind at a garage sale last summer. My Champion is the one we used back in the late 70's when my husband was finally diagnosed with carcinoid cancer, very rare. One doctor tried to blame his red nose on drinking! My husband did have a drink when we had gatherings of the area Pastors, but I knew he didn't drink to excess. Of course, the doctor had to present the possibility, but he didn't have to keep after it as he did. At any rate, my husband died in 1979 after trying various alternatives including medication we got from Mexico, I think it was made from either almonds or apricot pits. Thanks for your help. Ruth

Hi Ruth,
I think I know something that would help your condition, and that is
juicing. If you can get a juicer and start juicing, I am thinking that could help you a lot. A good recipe for you is celery, carrots, and an apple. This
would help you to clean-out your colon and get it back in shape over time.
Read-up on the benefits. I have a Champion juicer I got over the net for
about $200.00. There are cheaper ones out there.

Celery is loaded with natural sodium (the type your body actually needs).

I was studying my condition yesterday and I have come to the conclusion that
mine is probably due to a low or insufficient adrenal function. You may
have that problem also. I have to do more reading on it.
Paula
