The dream is an outpicturing of our mind.

While there is truth in that statement, it is a bit misleading. When one denies whole vision, projection of the remainder occurs to attempt to restore the void thus perceived. This projection or outpicturing does not truly represent what is in mind, but what is NOT in mind...for divided partial thoughts are not real and thus not really there. What is outpictured is denial imagery, which take on the appearance at both ends of the spectra of opposites pairs and at all perceived points along the gradation of values between each end of the circular path they proscribe to mind.

So we see that the idea that what we perceive in our world represents what is in our mind is a mistaken idea based upon the idea that 1)opposites are real, 2)judgments of opposites are real, and 3)changes from one image set to another within multiple spectra suggested by the continual divisions invented by the mind in denial are real.

These outpicturings are not representative of anything real, and by the nature of their erroneous appearance, cannot give consistent reports.

When the mind relaxes its denial, these images of denial disappear. The mind not denying whole vision does not need to project or outpicture at all.

It occurred to me that the outpicturing, since it represents all that is unreal in the mind, actually makes it possible to remain in denial by providing the mind with a dreamscape on which to focus. If the screen were to suddenly go blank, the dreamer would awaken......I think. Of course, the screen cannot be made to go blank from within the dreamscape.

Something I've been curious about is how the dreamer, projecting only illusion, can make use of that illusion to relax denial. I guess I can see how the experience of suffering can lead to the willingness to cease the denial and consider a better way. Is that how it must seemingly occur?
