I am very thankful for all the good responses. There seems to be a misunderstanding. The account [EMAIL PROTECTED] will remain on the SIMS box as a POP3 account along with the bulk of the spellnetwork.com accounts. I wanted to create an account for [EMAIL PROTECTED] as an IMAP account on OS X Server.
This is what I have gleaned. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It is better to run 1 machine to receive mail and route to other machines
Both machines can send mail
I should not have 2 machines with same MX priority such as
spellnetwork.com MX 10 mail.spellnetwork.com
spellnetwork.com MX 10 mail2.spellnetwork.com

Now which would be better to receive and route - SIMS or OS X Server?

This is one option, but there is, IMHO, a better one.

Use fetchmail on teh OS X machine to get the mail. fetchmail will deliver the mail to your local imap server on OS X and everything will work perfectly. This is how I handle ALL my mail now.
