I am very thankful for all the good responses. There seems to be a misunderstanding. The account [EMAIL PROTECTED] will remain on the SIMS box as a POP3 account along with the bulk of the spellnetwork.com accounts. I wanted to create an account for [EMAIL PROTECTED] as an IMAP account on OS X Server. You can do that with fetchmail
poll spellnetwork.com with protocol pop3 username "lcs" with password "xxxxx" is lspell here keep
messages to lcs are gotten off the pop server, are left there, and are deposited in the local (imap) account named lspell.
Or if lspell is not suppose to be a mirror account then you simple create lspell on your sims box and lspell on your OX machine and tell fetchmail:
poll spellnetwork.com with protocol pop3 username "lpell" with password "xxxxx" is lspell here
There is no reason to muck your DNS or MX records to do this.
