Samantha,

Ah, that's what it seems like! But I think we'd be surprised at the
good a superintelligence could do without being overtly disruptive.

I want disruption and quickly as much being done today is frankly evil.

By definition and dreaming we can claim "a superintelligence" can do all matter of utterly wonderful things. But it cannot make those things which serves dead and destruction of human values otherwise without disrupting them significantly and more than it can make 2 + 2 = 5.

By the way Samantha, I know you're quite skilled at deconstructing
many an argument, but do you have any positive suggestions for how a
Friendly AI might be implemented? Point me to the relevant part of
the archive, if you'd like.

I don't believe a guaranteed Friendly AI can be constructed. Please point me to relevant parts of the archive where you have positive suggestion for how to construct any > human intelligence at all.

We can make up whatever we want and claim that because we made it up
it is possible. But is this actually productive?

Bringing out the cooperative aspect of humanity rather than our
warlike aspect? That's hardly far-fetched. You must be incredibly
cynical if you think it's impossible, as it's already been done many
times in the past. The Internet would be one example.

I am sorry you seem to have utterly missed the point of my remarks. The world heads straight to destruction and all of us toward true dead while we daydream of the wonders a superintelligent being we do not know how to build could do if it was totally out for what is our greatest good and had almost limitless powers. Forgive me if I don't take a hell of a lot of comfort in this endless prattle.
