These rules exist only in your head. They aren't written down anywhere, and they will not be transferred via osmosis into the AGI. > Article 12: The conduct of the players > 12.1 The players shall take no action that will > bring the game of > chess into disrepute. Shooting the player will not bring the game of chess into disrepute; people will just blame the psycho AGI instead of chess. > and > 12.6 It is forbidden to distract or annoy the > opponent in any > manner whatsoever. "Shooting" doesn't count as "distracting" or "annoying". After all, the opponent can't be annoyed or distracted if he's dead. > I feel sure that shooting your opponent would cause > you to be > disqualified and thus lose the game. So what? The AGI doesn't care what humans think; it wins the game according to its internal rules, and it thinks that is desirable. > > BillK > (a former chess player who has never shot an > opponent) > > ----- > This list is sponsored by AGIRI: > http://www.agiri.org/email > To unsubscribe or change your options, please go to: > http://v2.listbox.com/member/?& > - Tom ____________________________________________________________________________________ It's here!
