Dittos...  shouldn't be a problem.  Although hopefully this is a switch
and not a hub :-)

It is exceedingly unlikely that you have discovered a new problem
regarding DHCP and hubs.  You should get a packet trace and monitor the
log of the DHCP server to see what is going wrong.
