The closest thing I have seen is in Mike Picher's book - he has a sample
user guide that lays out the default feature codes well. There are default
numbers in the system, which can be changed. Like *76, etc.

Mike did a great job of laying them out in a useable format.

When you say feature codes, do you mean in the TELCO world, STAR CODES (*67
to block outbound caller id or do a forward calls function)?

If so, I wouldn't know how to do this as a dialplan entry in sipx because it
doesn't go out a gateway.

I have a site with privacy needs on occasion, we had to provision a
different line so they could make outbound calls and have the caller-id
blocked. I don't know of a way to do this via picking up and dialing a
feature (star) code in sipxecs.

Well, most phones seem to have similar, but sometimes, a bit different
feature code
settings. Asterisk for example has a number of feature codes pre-set so have
always
followed that as our standard.

In this case, it's pretty much up to each admin to define a feature code set
between all
of the phones or am I misunderstanding that there is no such thing on sipx
because it is
not handling media, so no controls needed? VM and other controls for
example, where are
those?
