Seems like Polycom didn't update the label on the phone when they went
from Rev J to Rev K.

I have some Rev J IP450s that we bought in June of 2010. The POE works
fine.
The box is long gone though.

Fyi, I just went through all my stock. I found 3 boxes that said rev K
on the box, but the handsets inside them were actually J. On yours, do
the box and the handset both say K?

All of the polycom 450's I ordered are rev K and the third one I pulled
out of the box today lasted for two cable pulls until croaking....I am
beyond mad....
