It does work.
ill try again, what exactly did you use? a couple of people say it
'works', but when you finally drill down, it only works in a limited sense.
does it require a third piece of hardware?
full vm, AA, call transfer, inbound to did, outbound, caller id works?
hairpined calls?
WHY doesn't it affect the layer 7 parts? (the 'VIA: ljlkljljljl:5060'
stuff that has to be translated to :5080)
I really did try, with iptables, ipfw and pfsense.
I'll try again. port 5060 is the only thing that will force me off of
sipx. I can even put up with the cisco/polycom firmware issues (yes,
polycom has firmware issues). I can put up with no real survivability
(while testing/playing with port 5060, I put up a secondary host with
Freeswitch, AA, vmail and call forwards.. works great.. on port 5060)
All I need is port 5060 to work.
now, my challange is I can't seem to figure out how to get a
'test/standby' 4.4.0 system up and running. I have to cut over from my
production system (but, no big deal, I have a FS backup), but it really
is a big deal, when you remember all the regression testing that has to
happen.
if someone who has a 4.40 system up and running wants proof this doesn't
work, I can set up a did from voip.ms and prove it to you.
