I use a Cisco router that had to be in the mix anyway. Everything you listed works. Everything works. You are going to have to give more detail on your layer 7 question, but my answer will still involve saying it works. It is not limited. I do not have any problems. My corporate office with 180 handsets has been on this setup for over a year.
