I can see why you'd think that. Actually, I have a static IP address and am not using a STUN server. FYI, in sipXecs I have "Address type" set to "Specify IP address", "Public IP address" set to my external static IP address, ports at the default, "Enable NAT Traversal" and "Server behind NAT" selected and "Use external SBC for Internet Calling" not selected.
