I think the passwords should be random. I think there should be available
settings for defaults:

auto assign password
email user their password or send me a password reset link to my email

This way when creating multiple users the boxes will remain checked or
unchecked as the need may be.

Is there any functionality to allow a user to request their password to be
reset (automated) from the system yet? I know this was discussed at some
point but not sure where it is now. To me, this solves a lot of things, but
so does "having the system email the user their portal information upon
creation" in some fashion.
