Sounds right; class-dump says that PDFView implements - (void)magnifyWithEvent:(id)fp8; - (void)swipeWithEvent:(id)fp8; which is certainly unfortunate. It shows no difference between the ppc7400 and i386 implementations, though, so it's odd that you don't see it.
