This is really a question for the TextMate list. When you say  
"patch", do you mean that you are using the subversion repository to  
get the latest version of the Latex bundle, and did an "svn up"? If  
so, then it should work. If on the other hand you are working with  
the version of the latex bundle shipping with TextMate, then that's  
fairly out of date.
