"with the patch" means: I manually changed the path to "displayline" in the python script. That seemed to be the only diff with the svn version of the LaTeX bundle.

This is really a question for the TextMate list. When you say "patch", do you mean that you are using the subversion repository to get the latest version of the Latex bundle, and did an "svn up"?
