Yes, I use Skim's PDF controls for that, I am aware of that option  
(it's great!).

However, at least for Leopard 10.5.5, it isn't true that printing only  
pays attention to the Media box, in fact, it clearly prints ONLY the  
CROP box. It does this even if you have set Skim PDF option to display  
the entire Media box.

In fact, I have used cropping and then printing for quite some time.  
Sometimes it is crucial. I was only always a hoping to get it to print  
even a little more snug around the crop box. It seems to be adding  
margins as I mentioned (and does so even when you haven't cropped,  
shrinking an uncropped normal letter page).
