Yes, that's what I was referring to. Spotlight import of PDFs is  
always pretty expensive, as the whole PDF needs to be parsed to get  
the text, and that includes interpreting the font. The PDF format  
unfortunately doesn't have a separate text stream.

No, the idea was to use it for Spotlight, and include the notes as  
well. But as it wasn't used, it wasn't relevant.
