Hi! Ever since I upgraded my Skype to version 5.8.0.158 earlier this month, my Skype has had a nasty habit of randomly dropping calls. I would assume this is a fault in the newest version of Skype, because it didn't happen with the previous version, 5.8.0.156, and it doesn't happen with GWConnect either. Yesterday I tried downgrading to Skype 5.8.0.156 which worked properly for me, but when I opened Skype this morning it automatically upgraded itself to the new version I have had so much trouble with. Before you ask, my Internet is stable here: if it wasn't, both the previous version of Skype and the current version of GWConnect would not have handled calls without dropping. I was considering becoming a full-time gWConnect user, but that program is still rather buggy, so, if I can stick to standard Skype, which is usually stable, I'd rather do so. I was wondering, has anybody else had the same problem with Skype version 5.8.0.158? If not, can anyone explain why I'm having it? Or could someone tell me the newest version of Skype where automatic updates could be disabled? Thanks in advance for any replies to this message. Bye for now, and happy skyping! >From Clare
