Hi, Well yes this is possible. I dout they will do it though. The NVDA prodject stance on this seems to be that they will use what is built in but they will not have you work the screen reader to work the program. While I agree with this stance in principle it is not always practical. That being said, it NVDA is quite usable as it currently stands as I stated in my below message it does have a few shortcomings. However, you can work around them. For example, if you wish to initiate a chat. You can do this. slect the persons name in the contact list, and then press the context key arrow down to send I am then press enter. As for touchscreen support as I already stated JAWS is much more usable here simply because JAWS has a means of opening the context menu from touchscreen and as far as I've been able to determine so far NVDA does not please note I have only been working with touch screen for a few days and I am by no means an expert on the subject.
