can the NT box access the SMB shares (not browse) - is this a permission problem?
have the SMB servers been restarted?
have you tried logout->login on the NT box?
(and the next logical step, reboot NT :)
any clues in the samba server(s) log files?
I know I'm just stating the obvious here. I have seen this problem before
(I run Linux/SMB and NT clients on my own network), but I don't quite
recall the solution (need more coffee! :)
I have also noted under Win98 where the network-neighborhood does not
see some workgroups (and hence machines in the workgroup) until a smb share
from a machine in the workgroup has been accessed (but this is in situations
where the client and server are in different workgroups).
