I use StarOffice 5.0 ... I can create Office-97 compatible
Excel and Word docuements with it. Haven't driven it too hard,
but then again, you wouldn't drive the 'doze equivalent
too hard either :) Evil Empire users report no complaints
with the documents I send them. Nice thing ... the Word docs are
really really small when created with Star Office , and they do
not suffer the dreaded Office-97 habit of storing (sometimes
confidential) "previous buffer contents" inside a hidden part
of the document.
