Hi Howard,

Yes it is, but that is my solaris box and the setup is slight different,
but it definately running just fine there. The linux machine I
am having problems with is called moby but is only on our VLAN
with no DNS info on it available so you won't be able to test it.

But thanks for your help. To those others that have replied.
I have tried both letting universal access using the "allow hosts"
keyword and specifying just a certain machine to test it...

It is not started from inetd either it is standalone...

So did everyone else just install ssh and it simply worked (as it
 did on my solaris machines)? I also tried downloading the ssh
source and compiling it from scratch just to be sure....same
result...
