For power interruptions of this frequency, an APC Smart-UPS 700XR
with the extra battery pack for extended run times is best. Total
package cost should be very close to $1850, this ships with Powerchute
Plus for WinNT and SCO Unix. The Linux version is freely available from
the APC ftp site.
I've never had a problem with APC in the years I've been using them
and recommending them, they cost a bit more, but you get a higher
quality product for that money. Very fast recharge times, weekly
battery checks, battery capacity checks if desired, boost, trim, surge
protect, phone protect, easy battery replacement etc etc.
Also available are LAN surge protectors, around $150 for 4 ports of
either 10baseT or 100baseT.
