for now, it's inevitable that caller id will be available at no charge
sooner or later (it did on mobiles).

Bear in mind, depending on where you're intending to dial in from,
you might not always be able to send caller id (even with the 1832
override code), eg. through some pabx's, optus local lines, old micro/
macrolinks (I think), public phones, some hotels etc.
