It's a fair and accurate statement Terry made. Most teachers don't know
anything about what goes on below an app, Terry is indeed correct. And as
for knowing about computing before somebody showed me? I wasn't ever
shown, I took it upon myself to learn. A talent which seems not to be
taught nowadays.

$45 / machine, even the more expensive Linux (not mentioning any names
like Redhat or anything), is maybe $60-$80 at most and you can install it
on as many machines as you want.

I hardly would use standard in the same message as Windows. Windows can't
even talk correctly to half of it's other versions. Linux makes a much
better standard.

So in one hand you're saying that teachers are meant to be teaching
software, not technology. But on the other, that they're focussed on
teaching and not software. What in fact are they teaching?
I'm sorry if I sound crude, but sending this kind of defense where it's
*NOT* due is flamebait here.
