Aw... you could go on with this one forever :)  I'm probably the wrong
person to ask anyway.  I like both Debian and SuSE stuff.

I think the main thing is the PCMCIA drivers.  In the SuSE version it
works first time.  At least that's the experience of several Unis in
England as well as my own experiences.  The Debian PCMCIA modules have
been causing lots of problems for the experienced programmers that I
know.  They have to gather together in a crowd to figure it out.

Of course, if you are just thinking about packages then Debian wins
hands down.

One of the main selling points about the SuSE distro is that it's
quick and easy to install.  Nice graphical interface.  Good for the
first time user of Linux on a notebook.

I don't want to rant on too much.  I'm sure that some else will :)
