Hi All, Thanks to everybody that responded regarding Solaris, some interesting views & information exchanged. I have today found out that I have not obtained an interview for a trainee technician position in my town Dubbo NSw. I have been advised that a Microsoft Certified Professional qualification would be a positive step to improving my employability. I'm a 41 years male with extensive banking, finance & sales experience looking to retool into an IT career. I'm into year 2 of a Batch Of IT (Via CSU), I've obtained credit passes in introductory Java & Database subjects as well as passing introductory Internet, Communications subjects.
I have been advised that the MCE is held in stronger regard by employers & the like. I realize this is a Linux forum but am interested in what various professionals think of this advice.
