The CD you've got is probably has a corrupted TOC - data session after
audio session, as well as corrupted segments. You need to find a ripper
or player that can use digital extraction and a CD drive with good error
correction. 

I rip copy-protected CD's in my lite-on 52/24/52 burner and they come
out flawless. Other people have reported success in other brand name
burners like plextor.
