I have (2) Shell SP150 panels, (1) Trace C40 with DVM, (8) 6-volt, (1) 24v to 12V convertor.
 
(2) APPO's, (1) Trango, (1) Switch.

I just tested a couple of AP Totals and they were drawing .37 Amps at 14.1 Volts. I found them more power efficient than expected, and calculated that a single 12V, 80aH battery would be more than enough to handle a few days of cloudiness and keep the depth-of-discharge to under 50%. You can look at the Concord PVX-690T AGM for about $120 or you can get a 12V lead-acid for under $70.
