I also hope they are working on it. It seems to me like unreliable firmware. Sometimes I can kind of bring the units back to life by re-flashing the firmware and then using simple deploy on them, but it seems if I have to do this kind of thing on them, they never really work 100%. One of my airPoint indoor units which is working fine as a bridge, will not let me do a firmware update. I can't ping it, and when I log in with the firmware update it shows the device type as NULL. The reset button on the powershot doesn't seem to do anything.
I would be much encoraged if smartbridges said what the problem is (Surely they must know?), and how they are fixing it, and when we can expect it to improve. I'm starting to look into alternatives, although I really like the features of smartbridges.
