Title: RE: [smartBridges] QoS on SBTotals

Jason,

Did you actually get a PtP link of APPOs to stay connected?  Both times I have set them up they failed within hours or minutes.  One APPO would just stop sending packets.  They did work fine for a few minutes and I was able to get a few DHCP address’ from a server on the other side of the link.

I did have the first APPo set to ethernet side and second APPo set to wireless side for the primary DHCP port.

Hope this helps.  If you have any ideas why my PtP connection dies after a few minutes, please help.   The units can be set back to APs and then they work fine.

Thank you,

Subject: [smartBridges] Urgent DHCP Problem (through APPOs)
Importance: High

I am having a problem passing DHCP over a PtP link of APPOs. Here is what I have:

DSL Modem – APPO Wireless Bridge – APPO Wireless Bridge – DSL Router (Cheapo D-Link 714P) – Devices

The DSL router is not getting its WAN info from the DSL modem.

However… If I do:

DSL Modem – APPO Wireless Bridge – APPO Wireless Bridge – Vonage ATA or

DSL Modem – APPO Wireless Bridge – APPO Wireless Bridge – Computer w/ Wireless ethernet adapter (on another channel from the APPO wireless bridge, of course)

… the ATA or computer is able to get a WAN address. The Vonage phone works or the computer can browse the Internet.

Furthermore, if I plug the remote APPO into a LAN port of the router, and the ATA into another LAN port, the ATA can get a WAN address and work fine.

I could plug the router directly into the DSL modem and see if it works, but that is not practical at this very second. Any ideas?
