Not at all. A site survey scans all the available channels and tells you what kind of noise/signal is on each channel. It is a good indication of local interference from FH 2.4 gig, cordless phones, and other 2.4 gig Part 15 products.
I am not talking about looking for other AP's or searching for other networks. This is to analyze the available spectrum available for RF propagation purposes, not to locate other networks.
