Although the
output current on those is only 750mA. That's not enough to keep a few radios
going though.. :(

imagine something like this would work as well right? http://altronix.com/p_html/AL300ULXR.htm I'm
trying to figure out why a linear PS would be needed - since it's all DC isn't
it all good? or is that AL624 a true on-line setup where as these other power
supplies simply use the battery when AC has failed?
