I think it was because there were a couple people including myself who after
loading one firmware or another (old or new) and then the radio ceased to
work at all. The Power and wireless LED were on solid and there was no
longer a LAN connection available from the radio making it impossible to do
anything with it except return it to the vendor or smartbrdidges. Some
suggestions wee made that maybe if the unit was in an error state before you
loaded any firmware it caused a corruption problem? So a suggestion was made
to let the unit cool down / power down for 5-10 min before trying any
firmware upgrades if there was an error it would clear? remember there are
capacitors in the unit that store power for a small amount of time even
after power is removed but not enough to make the unit still transmit but
just enough I am sure to keep some things going like the memory in a chip
etc.

Barry, the flash is still hot and there for still running SLOWER than the
firmware EXPECTS
it to be. sB has modified the timeouts in the new firmware to compensate
for this slower response
time from the flash. By waiting 15-30 minutes, it gives the flash time to
cool off enough so that it's
timing returns to normal parameters. So, yes, it's a hardware issue in the
fact that the flash
runs slower when it gets to hot as compared to the previous flash, however,
it's a firmware BUG that's
causing the lockup issue.

Thanks, Billy
