Hmmm...

Well...I am not running DHCP...only static IPs.

If the IP dropped, wouldn't it NOT allow him to ping the airBridge on
the roof?

I had him click REPAIR on his NIC connection, but that didn't do the
trick. The only thing that allowed the aB to start passing traffic
again from his desktop was a power reset for the aB.

Both desktop and laptop are Win XP.

Really weird...I hope I don't have to replace the unit.

Does the aB hold an arp table? I know he has the same IP in both his
desktop and his laptop. I also know that they are not both plugged into
the Ethernet cable at the same time.

Sounds like a lost ip address. Have you hade the client run IPCONFIG
/ALL
from the command line to see if it still has it settings? Is your DHCP
lease
time set to 24 hours? Try setting it to 7-8 days. If all else fails try
to
repair the connection using NBTSTAT -R. The last step, replace the NIC.
(Well, I may have skipped over some steps :-)

I have a new airBridge installed at a customer's home (June purchase
with
upgraded firmware). It has been online 3 days and has lost it's ability
to
surf the net once a day since then.

1. I am ALWAYS able to ping/monitor/configure the device from the
wireless
side. So...it is NOT losing association.

2. The client is ALWAYS able to ping/monitor/configure the device from
the
wireless side. So...it is not losing Ethernet.

3. However, about once a day, the client can no longer ping my gateway,
nor
surf the net.

FIX ACTION: Power Reset...and whammo...back online.

ODD TWIST: If he disconnects the Ethernet cable from the Desktop and
plugs
it into his laptop, he is back on the net instantly without a power
reset.
Plug it back into his Desktop and he still cant surf.

Any ideas????
