It shouldn't cost anything.
Another manufacturer has a metal box with detachable cover and external
pigtail with a wireless circuit board inside for half the price.
No reason SB can't stuff their circuit board into that style enclosure  for
the same price point.
It's not like their circuit boards are any more money.
