I haven't tried PPOE on anything, but...

I've got 2 of these single-port routers out there. They've worked
flawlessly for me. ..'Course, I've got them set as static, so I don't know
if that has nything to do with it. I used the rebate on mine and got it
for ...$3??? something weird like that. OfficeMax has DLink 604 routers on
sale for $19 ($29 with $10 rebate). I'm picking up 10 of them.

Got one of these for a client that needed dialup fail-over. Works like a
champ.
