(sorry for late reply -away on long needed vacation!)
Neither of the two.

gotcha. I've got several thousand dollars "worth" of -unmentioned brand's- equipment sitting in my lab literally collecting dust. Missed the RMA window because most of the time I spent thinking I was doing something wrong. But now I know that their tech support is worthless. Got everything working fine for a few days, then everything crapped out -not at once- but close enough to know that I bought garbage.
Yup, live and learn, and learn, and learn...

I'd be laughing too ...except that crazy little fiasco cost me about $130
more than I anticipated.
-$60 no discount (the reason why I bought the fool thing)
-$27 tax
-$15 shipping (I think shipping was ~$25. EC would've charged a LOT less,
I'm sure)
-$20 RMA to Canada

LOL!
(I should state **clearly** that this was not Tranzeo's fault. It was the
kind folks at Total Access. The RMA was [cough] possibly due to my
installers not paying attention to the fact that the CAT5 coming out of it
uses a bizzare, non-standard color scheme. Possibly, but maybe not.)
Having a built-in router is a mixed blessing. Most clients don't have a
router or a switch, so they have to have *some* kind of hardware. Might as
well buy them a brand new router anyway. It's currently installed with
someone who already had a hub, so that worked out. At least it's making
money for me (finally). And the owner seems to like it.
And while we're talking about funny... Here's another funny thing for ya.
The kid (college-age son of the home owner, and buddy of mine) decides to
do his own installation. I figure HECK! It's an all-in-one. Can't screw
that up, right? After all, the kid did wire his own house with CAT5. Can't
be too dumb, right? ..right?
He: "Tim.. I can't get a connection. And when it connects, it's really
slow. Well.. sometimes its fast, but most times its really slow."
Me: "Well, dang, Ben. It was working when I burned it in yesterday. Does
the green light come on?"
He: "Um... no. Well.. sometimes"
Me: "Grrrrr. Dadgum Tranzeo! From here on out, I'll ALWAYS buy
smartbridge!!"
He: "What's smartbridge?"
Me: "Nevermind. I'll be over in 45 minutes"
--++--
Me: "Ben... where is this crazy thing aimed??"
He: "At your tower right there [points north]. I figured as long as it was
kinda aimed at your tower it'd be ok, right?"
Me: "Ben... our tower is over **THERE** [pointing northWEST!" - Crazy fool
had it pointing 45 degrees in the wrong direction.
He: "oh..."
oi, veh!
